Matt Dryke of Sequim, Wash., successfully defended his title in the international skeet competition at the 27th U.S. International Shooting Championships.

Dryke, a 1984 Olympic gold medalist at the same Prado Tiro site in Chino, broke all the targets thrown during Friday’s competition, including 25 in the shoot-off. He took the title with a four-day score of 417 of the 425 targets.

Dan Carlisle of Corona, Calif., was third.

In the other final on the last day of the championships, Dan Durben of Colorado Springs, Colo., won the men’s three-position small-bore rifle event with a three-day score of 3,499 of a possible 3,600.

Also Friday, the scoring jury reversed its decision and awarded William Beard first place in the men’s small-bore prone match.
