Steve Reynolds remained in critical condition in Indianapolis Methodist Hospital after suffering a fractured skull, a dislocated left elbow and a broken toe after his boat overturned in a hydroplane race at Madison, Ind., Sunday. Hospital spokesman David Richards said physicians had found no evidence of internal, neck or pelvic injuries.
Richards said Reynolds remained unconscious Monday and was on a ventilator to assist his breathing, but that his brain was responding to monitoring equipment.
