Two people, including an employee of an Orange County aircraft-parts supplier, have been indicted by a federal grand jury on perjury charges in an investigation into possible bid rigging in the sale of aircraft parts to the Air Force.

Named in the indictments issued Thursday were Rhoda Hurwitz, executive vice president of AGC Inc. of Meriden, Conn., and Anita Vargas, an inside sales supervisor with Bristol Industries Inc. of Brea.

One indictment accuses Hurwitz of lying when she told grand jurors in April, 1984, that she had not discussed with an Alamo Aircraft Supply Inc. official bids that AGC had planned to quote to the Air Force.

Accused of Lying

Another indictment charges that Vargas lied when she told the grand jury a month earlier that she did not discuss with an Alamo Aircraft Supply official bids that Bristol Industries had planned to quote to the Defense Department.

Alamo Aircraft has been named in a 17-count federal indictment alleging that the company tried to defraud the government through bid rigging and making false statements regarding the sale of spare parts to Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio and Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City.

The indictment came after a five-year probe by the FBI and the Air Force.

Alamo Aircraft has denied any wrongdoing.
