4 W. Germans Die in Wis. Wreck
A van carrying a group of West German teachers as part of a cultural exchange program crashed and overturned in a ditch, killing four and injuring 10 others, authorities said today.
The 13 West German teachers and their American guide were on their way to Wisconsin Dells, a popular tourist attraction and home of a Winnebago Indian settlement north of Madison, when the crash occurred Tuesday. The group was part of an exchange program at the Max Kade Institute for German-American Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
