Rebels Say They Attacked Ethiopian Military Convoy

PARIS —
Guerrillas fighting the Ethiopian government said Wednesday that they killed 36 soldiers in an attack on a military convoy in the north of the country.
A statement released in Paris from the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front, which for 20 years has been fighting for the independence of the northern Ethiopian region of Eritrea, said that 10 government soldiers were wounded in the raid and that 10 trucks were destroyed.
