Compassion and Fear Over AIDS

Share

It is unfortunate that Markowski apparently suffers from a form of “mental illness,” and that the authorities have failed to have him committed for treatment due to the current laws governing these type of cases. But, I personally feel that the charges filed against him by the district attorney, (i.e., attempted murder and assault), are justified because there was malice.

He was in full knowledge of the seriousness of his ailment, and chose to ignore it when tricking or selling blood. His lack of regard for others shows the ill will he had towards society as a whole.

When you are knowingly spreading a killer among the unaware, then you have to be stopped and put away. Too many people are handling their bout with AIDS in a responsible manner, and there is assistance available to those so afflicted.
