A fired postal worker who pleaded guilty to unlawfully delaying the mail stashed more than 2,000 letters in her locker in an effort to keep pace with her workload, the U.S. Postal Service says.

Sharon Marcy Brown, 29, of Cincinnati, pleaded guilty this week in U.S. District Court to unlawfully delaying the mail in 1984.
