Plans for a Mexican-Nicaraguan TV miniseries and film on the life of Nicaraguan hero Augusto Cesar Sandino were announced in Mexico City on Wednesday by Miguel Littin, the exiled Chilean director. Littin also directed “Alsino and the Condor,” the first full-length Nicaraguan movie, which was nominated for an Academy Award as best foreign language film.
Littin said said he hoped Dustin Hoffman could be persuaded to take the title role.
