Alaska Air Group’s income rose 57%to $4.4 million for the second quarter. The Seattle-based holding company for Alaska Airlines, Jet America Airlines and Horizon Air, said Alaska Airlines produced the major portion of the quarter’s profit. Jet America did not make a profit, the company said, while Horizon posted a pretax profit of $874,000.
