Boy’s Resident Status Is Immigration Milestone

A 13-year-old Hanford boy who said he eventually wants to become an engineer has become the first Fresno-area resident to gain temporary resident status under the new immigration law.
Immigration and Naturalization Service officials said Jesus Vicente Gaytan Zaragoza was the first to receive the card in Fresno, Kings, Madera and Tulare counties.
