Safety Tim McDonald, the St. Louis Cardinals’ No. 2 draft pick, signed a three-year contract with the club that calls for an estimated $750,000 a year.
His agent, Leigh Steinberg, said McDonald, as part of the contract, will set up scholarships at his alma maters, Fresno Edison High School and USC, and donate $200 to St. Louis area charities for each Cardinal victory.
“Tim is very excited to be signing and for the opportunity to play for the Cardinals,” Steinberg said.
