Kohl Ends Waldheim’s Isolation From West

VIENNA —
Austrian President Kurt Waldheim has held his first meeting with a Western government leader since being barred entry by the United States because of allegations over his Nazi past.
A spokesman said today that Waldheim and West German Chancellor Helmut Kohl dined Thursday night at Waldheim’s summer residence and discussed bilateral relations and the international situation.
