No Disorders Found in Chernobyl-Area Births

MOSCOW —
Specialists have discovered no physiological or psychic disorders in children born after the Chernobyl accident to mothers who lived in the zone of the nuclear power plant, a Soviet doctor said Wednesday.
Yelena Lukyanova told the official news agency Tass that more than 2,000 such children have been born since the April, 1986, accident, which killed 31 people, injured many more and forced the evacuation of 135,000 residents around Chernobyl.
