LOVING MEMORIES

Share

I would like to thank Judith Sims for her article “1967, the Summer of Love” (Aug. 2). Her memories and observations of that summer parallel mine. At the time, I was living in London, some miles from San Francisco. The feelings were the same. Caught up in the electricity, music and the thoughts, the choices of the time made an imprint on my being.

Obviously there are some, hopefully many, who also acknowledge that “people can be-- want to be--good and kind and generous and unafraid, even to strangers. For a brief moment love--or at least absence of suspicion--did prevail.”

I think those feelings and beliefs are still alive and well in many of the children of 1967.
