Yuba Natural Resources Inc. has reached an agreement to acquire Georgia Kaolin Co.’s 69% interest in Yuba Silica Joint Venture, a mining operation on the Sacramento River delta. Yuba currently owns 31% of the venture. Terms of the acquisition were not announced.

After the acquisition is complete, Yuba said it will acquire all silica operations, including the production facilities and mining rights. Yuba plans to lease aggregate mining rights of the property to a third party who will pay Yuba a royalty on sales tonnage.
