Marina del Rey : Vet Wins Wheelchair Race

Marina del Rey resident Jim Devlin won a gold medal last week in the 400-meter race at the seventh Veterans Wheelchair Games in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Devlin, a 51-year-old Korean War veteran, also competed in the slalom, the 100-meter race and the shot put. He represented the Long Beach Veterans Administration at the games.

The games attracted nearly 500 wheelchair athletes from the United States, Puerto Rico and Great Britain.
