Woodbury

I was delighted to see the article on Woodbury University (Part I, Aug. 19) and its forthcoming move into the Burbank area.

It sounds as though the university will fulfill a very real need in the San Fernando Valley, with a dedicated academic community and forward-thinking philosophy of education as its prime movers. This type of institution is a viable alternative to mega-universities where numbers prevail over names and where the major concern of the day is where to park one’s car.
