Kevin Brown of Claremont has been appointed...

Kevin Brown of Claremont has been appointed assistant director of admissions at Pomona College in Claremont. Brown was an admissions counselor at Pennsylvania State University in Harrisburg and an education specialist for the Urban League of Harrisburg. He is a graduate of Northwestern University.

Robert H. Bell of Ontario has been appointed assistant dean of students at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont. Bell was assistant dean of students at Whittier Union High School. He received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Redlands.

Judy Lane McDaniel of Alhambra has been named executive director of the Cal State Los Angeles Alumni Assn. McDaniel, formerly an administrative operations analyst, has worked at the university for 14 years.

Donald Henrikson of San Marino has been appointed vice president for research at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont. Henrikson, a former vice president of Arco, replaces James Jamieson, who became director of a performing arts center in San Luis Obispo. Henrikson has degrees from UC Berkeley, Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Susan Beeler Anderson of San Gabriel has been elected president of the Los Angeles area chapter of the Endometriosis Assn. Anderson received an undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and a graduate degree from USC.

The Rev. Eric Evenhuis, chaplain at CPC Horizon Hospital in Pomona, has been awarded the Art Rech Memorial Award from the board of directors of the Christian Assn. of Psychological Studies. Evenhuis, a Christian marriage, family and child counselor, received the award for his work in training chaplain interns.

S. Ratnajeevan Hoole, George A. Cunningham and Ziyad H. Duron have joined the engineering department at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont.

Hoole, an associate professor, received an undergraduate degree from the University of Ceylon, a graduate degree from the University of London and a doctorate from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He is a former lecturer at the Ibadan Polytechnic School in Nigeria.

Cunningham, an assistant professor, received an undergraduate degree from Case Institute of Technology and graduate and doctoral degree from the University of Washington.

Duron received an undergraduate degree from Harvey Mudd, a graduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a doctorate from Caltech. He has worked as an engineer for Atlantic Richfield Co. and at the NASA Flight Research Center.

Joke Johnson has been appointed registrar at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, and Richard Vos has been named dean of admissions.

Johnson, of Claremont, was coordinator of off-campus study at Scripps College in Claremont. She has degrees from Claremont Graduate School and the Free University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

Vos, also of Claremont, was the associate director of admissions at Grinnell College in Iowa. He attended Cornell University in New York.

Greg Morgan has been named director of educational services and Kathleen E. Clayton is the new director of operations at the Sycamores, an Altadena-based residential child care facility that provides psychiatric, psychological, social work and educational services for boys between 7 and 14 years old.
