CS Fullerton Faces Sixth-Ranked LSU
Cal State Fullerton will play sixth-ranked Louisiana State at 5 p.m., PDT, today at Tiger Stadium in what will be the first game Fullerton has ever played against a nationally ranked team outside the West.
The Titans, who managed only 100 yards in total offense in a 44-0 loss to Hawaii last Saturday night, likely will be playing before the largest crowd ever to see a Fullerton game. LSU’s Tiger Stadium has a capacity of 78,882. The largest crowd for a previous Fullerton game was 60,415 at the Coliseum in 1971, when Grambling defeated the Titans, 59-26.
LSU (1-0), under first-year Coach Mike Archer, is led by quarterback Tom Hodson, second-team All-American split end Wendell Davis and tailback Harvey Williams.
Williams has been taken out of the starting lineup for breaking an unspecified team rule but will play.
