Race car driver Roberto Guerrero remained unconscious Sunday, but a spokeswoman at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis said he was requiring less medication to control brain swelling stemming from his accident four days ago at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Katherine Walsh-Miller said the 29-year-old driver still was in critical condition and using a ventilator to help him breathe, but his vital signs were stable.
She said the use of less medication is “encouraging, but at this point we don’t want to say he’s made a great improvement.”
