The United States has decided against tearing down any of the bug-riddled new U.S. Embassy in Moscow for at least a year, Rep. Daniel A. Mica (D-Fla.) said after a meeting today with State Department and CIA officials.

Mica also said U.S. Embassy officials in Moscow “will continue to remain in the old building for at least five years,” keeping the Soviets from moving into their new embassy complex in Washington. The U.S. Embassy in Moscow was found to be wired with hidden microphones and other spying devices planted by Soviet intelligence.
