Schools and Tax Rebate

I take great exception to your editorial.

Your concern for the schools is admirable but misguided. Why should taxpayers continue to pump more money into education when more students drop out each year? Why should taxpayers give their precious tax dollars to a cause that is pointless?

There has never really been a study to find out why students aren’t learning and where the money really goes. Why? Most of it goes for administrators. Each week a new position is created to satisfy the nepotism that exists in school districts. Merit counts for nothing; it is all political hogwash!

It is time to find out where the money is going and stop up the holes in the system. If that means getting rid of expensive administrators, then let’s do this.

I think it is time for a close look at education before we feel sorry for the kids--they are pawns in this situation.
