MONDAY IS ‘FRANK’S PLACE’

Four days into the new season, CBS has made an “adjustment” in its prime-time schedule, the network announced Thursday.

Rather than making its permanent home at 8 Saturday nights as originally scheduled, “Frank’s Place,” the no-laugh-track half-hour comedy starring Tim Reid as the reluctant new owner of a New Orleans Creole restaurant, will remain in the 8 p.m. Monday time slot where it has had two preview airings.

“The audience has already shown that it likes ‘Frank’s Place’ on Monday nights,” said Kim LeMasters, vice president, programs for CBS. “We felt it would be better to leave it where it has already demonstrated success and not disturb viewing habits.”

The show’s pilot won the time period with a 14.9 rating, 25 share, on Sept. 14, and the second episode received a respectable 13.9 rating, 23 share, the following Monday.

“My Sister Sam,” originally slated for 8:30 p.m. on Saturdays, will move to 8, and “Everything’s Relative,” scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Mondays, will instead be seen at 8:30 p.m. Saturdays. Both of these shows will have their season premieres Oct. 3.
