Two deejays at Milwaukee’s WQFM have been suspended after their program offended members of Milwaukee’s homosexual community and led several businesses to cancel advertisements, according to the station’s general manager. The “shock radio” program on WQFM was the target of complaints this weekend, when about 1,000 flyers--criticizing Perry Stone and Randi Rhodes for using offensive and derogatory terms for gays on the air--were distributed in taverns by homosexual activists. General manager Ralph Barnes took the action hours after learning that several prominent Milwaukee businesses had canceled their ads on the morning program.
