Soviet Jewish Emigration Gains

GENEVA —
Moscow allowed the emigration of 699 Soviet Jews last month for a total of 5,380 in the first nine months of the year, the Intergovernmental Committee for Migration reported Thursday.
The September figure was slightly lower than previous months but emigration for 1987 is still at its highest level in five years.
