Auto to Debut as Cadillac of Malls Marks 20th Birthday

Two $54,000 Allantes--Cadillac’s answer to the European luxury car--will be on display Oct. 17 in Crystal Court at South Coast Plaza when Renee and Henry T. Segerstrom act as honorary co-chairmen of the Costa Mesa mall’s 20th birthday party.

Says soignee Renee: “Twenty is terrific! South Coast Plaza has all the glamour and vitality of a 20-year-old. I love it!”

The question is: Will the Segerstroms motor to the Cadillac-sponsored affair in Henry’s forest-green Jaguar or Renee’s basic-black Bentley?

The $250 per-person gala marks the first-ever sit-down dinner staged in the luxurious and commodious Crystal Court, which was developed as an annex to the Segerstroms’ South Coast Plaza.

Town & Country Magazine, presenters of the “Anniversary Ball,” plan to splash its elegant goings-on across the pages of one of its winter issues.
