Two South Korean seamen were found dead Sunday in the hold of a Panamanian freighter anchored in the western Japanese port of Kobe, the Maritime Safety Agency said.

The seamen, identified as Han Soo Yeng, 25, and Barg Man Chol, 46, were believed to have suffocated because the soybean cargo absorbed oxygen in the hold of the 17,999-ton Atlantic Concord, an agency spokesman said.
