UCSD Women Beat USIU in Soccer, 1-0

Jennifer Kingsbury scored on an assist from Heather Mauro with less than three minutes to play in the first half to give the UC San Diego women’s soccer team a 1-0 victory over United States International University Tuesday at UCSD.

It was the seventh straight shutout for the Tritons (8-1), ranked second in the NCAA Division III. UCSD goalkeeper Julie Freiss had four saves. USIU is 2-10.
