Peeters Rini, a Dutch motorcyclist missing for several days in the Tunisian desert after a sandstorm swept the Djerba 500 rally, was found dead, officials said in Paris.
Earlier in the week, it was reported that Rini was found alive in the sand dunes and was recovering, but the information was incorrect.
The bodies of two other racers, Patrice Leclerc and Jean-Pierre Hubeaux, both of France, were found Thursday in the dunes near Zarzis, about 210 miles southeast of the Tunisian capital of Tunis.
