Transamerica’s income rose 28% to $137.9 million for the third quarter. The San Francisco-based company reported strong earnings from its operations in property and casualty insurance, title insurance and tax service, consumer lending and equipment leasing. The company added that it is continuing to benefit from its ongoing restructuring process.
