Westwood : Reward Offered in Rape
UCLA is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man who raped a 22-year-old student in the University Research Library on Oct. 5, according to Chancellor Charles E. Young.
Campus police describe the suspect as a black male, 25 to 35 years old, 5-feet-10, 175 pounds, with short- to medium-length hair.
Security has been increased in and around campus libraries and the university “will continue to take every possible precaution to make the UCLA community as safe as we can from such reprehensible incidents,” Young said.
People with information may contact Detectives Mike Shain or Art Longo at the UCLA Police Department, (213) 825-9371 or 825-1491.
