There’s More to Cooper Than Good Defense

On Sunday, Oct. 4, I competed in the wheelchair division, Michael Cooper 10k race at Pierce College. After the race as my two racing buddies and I started to go back to our cars, much to our surprise, Michael Cooper called to us. He made a special effort to come over and shake our hands and thank us for being in his race.

My friends and I race almost every weekend. We have seen lots of celebrities and this is the first time this type of appreciation has been bestowed on us.

Thank you, Michael Cooper. Keep up the work and good luck this season.
