Lakers Play Suns Tonight, Knicks Tuesday at Forum
The Lakers open their exhibition schedule with back-to-back games at the Forum: tonight at 7:30 against the Phoenix Suns, Tuesday against the New York Knicks.
The Lakers have 16 players on their roster, including free agents Milt Wagner and Jeff Lamp and rookies Willie Glass and Ralph Tally. Second-year forward Billy Thompson, who has not yet begun working out with the team because of an injury to his left knee, probably will start the season on the injured reserve list, leaving at least one spot open for a newcomer.
Magic Johnson, who has chronic Achilles tendinitis is questionable for tonight’s game.
