The Nation : Great Lakes Region Again Hit by Snow

Snow fell for a second day over the Great Lakes region, where residents were still cleaning up from a storm that blanketed the area with up to 16 inches, while a cold blast of air chilled the eastern half of the country. Morning snowfall included up to four inches in northern Wisconsin and five inches in northern Minnesota. Meanwhile, pre-dawn temperatures that dipped to between the mid-20s and the mid-40s in the Ohio Valley and Gulf Coast surpassed or tied nearly two dozen record lows in 11 states. Record low temperatures included 23 degrees in Cincinnati, 25 in Knoxville, Tenn., 26 in Nashville, and 44 in Apalachicola, Fla. Morning low temperatures also dropped into the 20s across the northern Rockies and plains.
