Ducommun posted a loss of $2.5 million in the third quarter, compared to a loss of $849,000 in the year-ago period. The Cypress company blamed the decline on its aerospace services business, which had production delays on several programs, along with an unresolved claim resulting from production delays in the space shuttle external tank program and the cancellation of the Israeli Lavi fighter aircraft program.
