$1 Million Approved to Save Open Space
The San Diego City Council has voted to pay $1 million to buy and preserve as open space nearly 181 acres in the Rancho Mission Canyon in San Carlos.
The acreage, which constitutes most of the land in the canyon, sits between Mission Gorge Road, Jackson Drive, Navajo Road and Princess View.
The Monday vote consummates a purchase that was originally authorized by the council in November, 1983.
