Government troops of Burkina Faso took over the last stronghold of soldiers opposed to the coup-installed military regime and forced the dissident leader to flee into the bush, officials said in Ouagadougou, the capital. Presidential spokesman Serge Balima said two soldiers were killed in the raid on Capt. Boukari Kabore’s fortified base in Koudougou, the West African nation’s third-largest city. Kabore had posed the main threat to the new military leader, Capt. Blaise Compaore. Last week, Kabore told reporters that he could not support Compaore and accused him of murdering former President Thomas Sankara and dozens of officials in the Oct. 15 coup.
