Industrial Equity Pacific, a Hong Kong investment group controlled by New Zealander Ronald A. Brierley, said it boosted its stake in Ameron Inc., a Monterey Park construction products firm, to 13.6% by purchasing 65,900 shares between June 19 and Oct. 22 at prices from $31.07 to $35.65. Separately, Industrial Equity Pacific said it upped its stake in Los Angeles wheelchair maker Everest & Jennings to 28.93% by purchasing 68,800 shares between Sept. 25 and Oct. 22 at prices from $10.40 to $14.15. The investment firm also increased to 15.15% its stake in the Beverly Hills hotel operator Associated Hosts by purchasing 50,000 shares between Oct. 19 and Oct. 26 at prices from $9 to $9.75.
