Israel has ordered the closing of Bethlehem University in the occupied West Bank for three months after an anti-Israel demonstration in which three students were wounded, a military spokesman said. Unrest in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip continued with demonstrations at Birzeit University and Tira High School in Ramallah, 15 miles north of Jerusalem, and in Gaza City, witnesses and the military said. The day before, Isac abu Srur, 22, a student leader at Bethlehem University, was shot in the head by Israeli soldiers who were cornered by the demonstrators, military sources said. Abu Srur was reported in “very grave” condition in a hospital, and two other students suffered minor gunshot wounds, authorities said.
