Survey to Tell Home Choices of Older People

A local research firm is surveying 40,000 Los Angeles area seniors in an attempt to determine the housing preferences of the fast-growing elderly population.

Senior Living Research Associates plans to combine the results of the survey with responses from seniors across the nation to assist developers with the design of retirement communities.

Responses will be analyzed by Senior Living’s staff by the end of this month. Some of the results will probably be published, a spokeswoman for the research firm said, while other information garnered from the surveys will be provided only to clients.
