Share

About nine inches of snow fell in the Colorado high country and a snow advisory was posted across Colorado’s northern mountains, where an additional eight inches was possible. An additional five inches was possible in the state’s southern and central mountains. Advisories were also posted for parts of Utah and Wyoming. Up to four inches of snow fell in Utah and two more inches were expected, the National Weather Service said. The large storm system in the Rockies triggered showers and thunderstorms from northern Texas through the central plains. Mountain passes along Interstate 50 in eastern Nevada were covered with wet, heavy snow, and up to three more inches were expected to fall over the higher passes of east central and northeast Nevada, the weather service said. Snow was reported over parts of Upper Michigan, and snow was scattered across northern New York.
