Former Beirut hostage Do Chae Sung of South Korea was reported to have seen kidnaped Anglican church envoy Terry Waite and two other West European hostages during his captivity. The French-language newspaper Le Reveil identified the other hostages as French journalist Roger Auque, abducted Jan. 13, and West German businessman Rudolf Cordes, kidnaped four days later. The newspaper quoted Do as saying that he spoke with the German and the Frenchman but failed to get a response from the bearded Waite, who disappeared in Lebanon on Jan. 20. Do, 33, was kidnaped Jan. 31, 1986. He was released Oct. 26.
