Boston Detectives Face Charges of Corruption

BOSTON —
Three Boston police detectives and four former detectives were indicted Tuesday on charges that they took bribes from bar and restaurant owners in return for protection against enforcement of liquor laws.
All seven were charged in the federal indictment with racketeering and various federal extortion charges, officials said.
