Judy Carne has been fined the equivalent of $859 for trying to smuggle .006 ounce--185 micrograms--of cocaine into Britain. On leaving court, Carne--the former “Sock it to me” girl of “Laugh-In” fame--told reporters that she was “delighted with the result. I think that a fine of 500 pounds was very fair.” Carne, 48, was arrested Oct. 22 at Gatwick Airport after customs agents found the drug, valued at $27, concealed in two nasal inhalers hidden inside her boot, a prosecutor said.
