Custody Case

The custody case of Brian Batey (Part I, Nov. 6) is yet another example of how the role of the judiciary is being abused today. Instead of interpreting law and making logical, common sense decisions within the context of the law, Judge Judith McConnell has taken it upon herself to be a pioneer of social change. If doubts were substantiated regarding Betty Batey’s competence as a mother, surely a loving stable home could have been found among Brian’s relatives.
