Movie mogul Steven Spielberg and others from Hollywood met with congressional representatives in Washington on Wednesday in an effort to boost support for a bill aligning U.S. copyright laws with the 80-year-old Berne Convention international standard. Spielberg met with Rep. Robert Kastenmeier (D-Wis.), who introduced the legislation in the House in March that would protect finished films from “technological alternations.” Spielberg wouldn’t comment on the meeting, but Kastenmeier said their talk centered on “colorization and other processes.”
