Need Middle Path

Regarding “Entrepreneurs Find a Place in Soviet Union,” Oct. 27:

That is good news at a time when rampant entrepreneurialism in the United States is seen to have done a substantial amount of harm. Does our crisis of unregulated greed and senseless private accumulation throw any light on the socialist world’s “irrational” fear of what we call enterprise?

There is plenty of middle ground between wholly unchecked legal theft from society and total statism. A serious question for Americans is whether we can find a politically realistic path to such middle ground.
