A missing probate judge from Danbury, Conn., who allegedly owed more than $2 million hanged himself in a hotel room in Washington, authorities said. The death of Richard L. Nahley was suicide, said Wilbur Rowles of the District of Columbia medical examiner’s office. Nahley, 51, disappeared Monday and during the week, liens totaling more than $1.3 million were filed against him. Michael Seri, town clerk in Danbury, said the liens were for funds allegedly missing from the accounts of Nahley’s law clients, and further claims were expected. The News-Times of Danbury put the total missing at more than $2 million.
