Tornado Kills Two Along Texas Coast

VAN VLECK, Tex. —
A tornado swept across a rural area of the central Texas coast today, killing two people and injuring two others as it ripped the roofs off houses, tore apart trees and pushed cars off roads.
A 10-year-old girl and a 23-year-old woman died when the tornado struck a mobile home about six miles east of Bay City today, Department of Public Safety spokesman Mike Cox said. A 3-year-old boy and a 7-month-old boy were injured.
