Rohr Industries’ income rose 2.8% to $7.2 million in the first quarter. The Chula Vista, Calif., company said revenue was up 28% to $202.6 million, but added that the addition and expansion of facilities; relocation of work within facilities, and the hiring, training and assimilation of 2,500 new employees hurt operating margins. In addition, the company said it continues to incur engineering and pre-production costs for the V2500 Nacelle program for the Airbus A320 aircraft.
